Beyoncé has had an incredible year — from dropping her country album Cowboy Carter, launching her Sir Davis whiskey, and having a voice role in Mufasa: The Lion King. And this Christmas, she’s giving the Beyhive a special gift.
On Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, Beyoncé will perform the halftime show during the Houston Texas vs. Baltimore Ravens football game. The performance will mark a game-changing moment for both Queen Bey and the NFL, as this year marks the first of many planned Netflix Christmas Gameday Live football games.
Fans can stream the performance live via Netflix. The Texans vs Ravens game is the second of two NFL games scheduled on Christmas Day (the first being the Kansas City Chiefs VS. Pittsburgh Steelers game at 1 p.m. ET). The Texans VS. Ravens game will begin at 4:30 p.m ET.
Houston and Baltimore residents without a Netflix subscription will be watch the game on broadcast television in their respective cities. Additionally, subscribers to NFL+ will also be able to watch the game and halftime performance from their mobile devices and Smart TVs.
The Texans vs Ravens game will take place at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas —- Beyoncé’s home town. According to a press release from Netflix, the halftime show will mark the first live performances of songs from the Cowboy Carter album. Bey has remained tight-lipped about what to expect from the show, however, Netflix is also teasing that some of the collaborators on the Cowboy Carter album will be joining the Grammy winner on stage.
The performance comes over a month after the Mike Tyson fight against Jake Paul, which was also streamed live on Netflix. This particular broadcast suffered quite a few technical difficulties, however Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, has assured fans that they have nothing to worry about.
“Everything’s going to be good,” Tina said to TMZ last month. “God is going to be there.”
