Though they’ve more than made good on their decision to keep their kids out of the spotlight, Harry and Meghan (aka Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) are allowing the public the tiniest peek. In their just-released holiday card we get a glimpse at son Archie and daughter Lilibet, and their matching bright red hair is just too cute.
The card, which you can see here, features six pictures, five of them featuring Meghan and/or Harry doing charity and traveling throughout the year. But the top middle picture, taken from a distance, is of the pair greeting their kids on a stone driveway, with the family’s three dogs in attendance as well.
Both are beaming as their kids run toward them, and though we can only see the back of the kids’ heads, it’s enough to show us one defining feature: both Archie and Lilibet have definitely inherited their dad’s ginger gene. This is probably the best/only look we’re going to get of the kiddos for a while, as both parents are hyper aware of the damaging effects of public scrutiny and especially cyberbullying.
And before you even think of calling it Photoshopped, remember what happened the last time this came up. It’s a nice picture, everyone be chill.
“On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation, We wish you a very Happy Holiday Season and a joyful new year,” reads the card.
The Archewell Foundation, of course, is the couple’s humanitarian effort, while Archewell Productions is a media studio that most recently produced a documentary on polo that just came out on Netflix. And their marriage is still going strong: Harry recently shut down divorce speculation, likely not for the last time.
Happy holidays, Sussexes!
