EXCLUSIVE: Following a competitive pursuit, Anonymous Content has signed Noa Cohen, the up-and-coming Israeli actress and model who plays the title role in Netflix’s new biblical epic, Mary.
Premiering on the streamer this Friday, December 6, Mary reimagines the story of the mother of Jesus through her perspective. The film portrays Mary as a young woman facing rejection after her miraculous conception. When King Herod (Anthony Hopkins) orders the execution of Jesus, she and Joseph (Ido Tako) are forced go into hiding to protect their child. Cohen landed the role in the D.J. Caruso film following a worldwide search.
Other credits for Cohen include the hit Israeli series My Nephew from Hell and Infinity. Additionally, at the age of 17, she became the youngest-ever host of Israel’s most popular pop culture news show, Hazinor.
