Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) is the newest addition to the cast of Scream 7, Deadline has learned.
Details as to O’Connor’s role are under wraps. They’ll star alongside the returning Neve Campbell, as well as Isabel May, who has been tapped to play the daughter of Campbell’s final girl Sidney Prescott.
While plot details also have not yet been disclosed, the film comes on the heels of Scream VI, which brought in a franchise-high domestic gross exceeding $108 million in March 2023. Collectively, films in the meta horror franchise have earned more than $900 million in worldwide box office receipts.
Kevin Williamson, architect of the Scream franchise who scripted the original Wes Craven-directed 1996 title, will direct from a script by Guy Busick. Also aboard, following collaborations with the scribe on 2022’s Scream reboot and the aforementioned Scream VI, are James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein, who will produce for Project X Entertainment. Hailing from Spyglass Media Group, Scream 7 will release in theaters worldwide via Paramount Pictures on February 27, 2026.

Best known for starring in a pair of recent Ghostbusters films (Afterlife and Frozen Empire), O’Connor has also been seen in Marvel’s Madame Web, the Zach Braff-directed drama A Good Person, body swap slasher Freaky, and the Sundance drama Selah and the Spades. Currently shooting the sci-fi thriller UAP, they are represented by Paradigm, Anonymous Content, Authentic Talent and Literary Management, and Granderson Des Rochers.
