Chunky white pullover sweaters: equally chic on the streets of New York City or in the courtroom. Gwyneth Paltrow probably wasn’t intentionally invoking her infamous ski-related courtroom drama when she wore a cream, cable-knit pullover in NYC on November 25, but the aprés ski vibes are just too strong to ignore.
Paltrow tucked her white sweater into black cigarette pants layered under a black peacoat, and finished the outfit with heeled black ankle boots. She was photographed with Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman, who wore a black outfit of her own, including a leather skirt and military-style jacket with knee-high boots. The pair were reportedly filming a commercial for Paltrow’s Goop lifestyle brand, per the Daily Mail.
Naturally, Paltrow’s sweater looks like it comes from her own G. Label by goop, and is flagged on the site as a “Gwyneth’s pick.”
The sweater is not identical to the cropped, turtleneck sweater Paltrow wore when defending herself against a lawsuit in April of 2023. (A man claimed that Paltrow ran into him on the ski slopes and caused him lasting injuries. He lost the case.) That piece had no cables, and featured a puffed detail at the cuffs.
That said, it may be that Gwyneth Paltrow is never again able to wear a cream-colored sweater without someone, somewhere in the world thinking, ski trial.
