The older I get, the less and less time—and honestly, patience—I have for my skin care and makeup routines. Fortunately, I received the Victoria Beckham Concealer Pen to test just after my most recent birthday, which I’ve chosen to interpret as gift from the universe (and PR gods).
The TL;DR? The Victoria Beckham Concealer Pen makes makes it so much easier and faster to maintain my skin care and makeup regimens that it feels like a real-life cheat code.
This isn’t your mother’s concealer pen. It was formulated and created in collaboration with skin care powerhouse Augustinus Bader, the brand responsible for so many celebrities skin care routines it’s almost impossible to keep count. Although it’s a concealer, this product feels and acts like skin care that just so happens to seamlessly conceal flaws.

For one, it contains same patented TFC8, or Trigger Factor Complex, as Augustinus Bader’s cult-favorite The Cream, Light Cream, Eye Cream, and other bestsellers loved and used by everyone from Glamour editors to Kelly Ripa and Kelly Rowland to makeup artists and beauty founders Patrick Ta, Bobbi Brown, and Jillian Dempsey. (And Victoria Beckham, of course.)
It also contains a robust formulation of acetyl hexapeptide-8, polyglutamic acd, and squalane, which work together to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, absorb and maintain moisture, and hydrate and protect the skin barrier. And, most importantly, it’s a fantastic concealer. It’s so good, in fact, that it’s already replaced my usual concealer, concealer brush, and even foundation.
Obviously, it comes chock-full of skin-boosting benefits, which I highlighted above. In addition to how powerful it works as skin care, this concealer is also extremely lightweight and long-lasting and plays well with other products like my moisturizer and blush. Plus, it seamlessly blends out to serve as an overall foundation due to its buildable coverage.
I use shade L2 to cover the worst of my cystic pimples and rosacea-induced redness, while shade L1 highlights underneath and around my eyes without creasing. And best of all? It doesn’t settle into the pores on my nose—instead it blurs any imperfections and makes it look like I’ve slept eight hours every night since I was born.
In terms of its skin-boosting benefits, I can definitely see a huge difference in my complexion. My rosacea has been flaring up less than usual and my hyperpigmentation is significantly more under control. My skin looks even, clear, hydrated, and glowy, and I’ve gotten more comfortable wearing much less makeup than before.
As if there wasn’t enough to love, I simply must highlight the most innovative part: The built-in brush. Unlike traditional concealer which comes with with a wand that sits in product all day, the Victoria Beckham Concealer Pen uses a brush that dispenses product through its bristles when you press a button. This way, you’re preserving product and keeping everything bacteria-free.
It’s also so much more pleasant to apply than with your fingers; it feels like watercoloring your face, complete with a lovely cooling sensation. So while $68 does seem like a lot for just a concealer, I maintain that this is much more than that—especially since it really did replace multiple products in my routine.
For all of those reasons and more, this pen is perfect for on-the-go: I can keep it in my pocket or the tiniest handbag and refresh my glam without getting my hands dirty. The fact that it’s improving my skin is just the icing on the cake! (Or concealer on the skin, I guess.)
