As Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill said in 2023, “Cheetahs don’t get hurt.” The issue is that Hill appears to be very hurt.

The star wide receiver popped up on the injury report before the team’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. Further reports indicated that Hill is dealing with a torn tendon in his wrist.
Despite still suiting up, Hill has confirmed that the injury will require surgery. However, he plans to “play through the pain.”

According to Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson, Hill told reporters on Thursday that surgery is being discussed for his wrist, but he plans to play through it. Hill has been one of the most durable players in the NFL, but he could be playing a dangerous game.
Hill also detailed his deep want and need to be on the field.
“Even if I gotta cut my wrist off, I’m still out there. Because I love the game of football,” Hill stated.
The hope is that Hill can maintain his level of production and talent while dealing with a severe wrist injury. The issue is that one small move could or would likely lead to his not being able to step back on the field in 2024.
The Dolphins rebounded in a big way on Monday, taking down the Los Angeles Rams. They are now 3-6 on the season and are surprisingly still in the running for a playoff spot. As it stands, Miami is No. 10 in the AFC.
The Dolphins would need to win 1.5 games to match up with the 5-5 Denver Broncos, who are now the seventh seed. The good news is the Dolphins also have the Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots next. Both are very winnable games.
Should the Dolphins take both opponents down, they will enter Week 13 with the chance to move to 6-6 on the season. However, they are facing a tough Green Bay Packers team on Thanksgiving at Lambeau Field.
Should the Dolphins take all three down, they will be in a great spot heading into their final five games. Miami will face the Jets, Texans, 49ers, Browns, and Jets again to finish the season.

Simply put, the Dolphins have an easy schedule ahead of them apart from the Packers and Texans matchups.
Though things appear bleak, the Dolphins still have a good shot at making the postseason, and it appears they will do so with the help of Hill.
