Hi, I’m Callie Holtermann, a reporter for The New York Times’s Style section who often writes about young people. It can seem like every week, some far-fetched thing is being declared a Gen Z trend online — whether young people are actually interested in it or not.
I’m an elder member of Gen Z myself, but I’m hoping to get in touch with lots of others to hear about what is actually going on in your lives. (We’re looking to talk to people born between 1997 and 2010.)
“Trend” can mean a lot of things: Are your classmates wearing or doing something that you hadn’t seen before this year? Is there anything you are stressed about that you don’t think is being written about enough?
