Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White recently shared his friend Donald Trump‘s diet during an interview with media personality Tucker Carlson, in which he called the president-elect a “savage” based on his work ethic.
It’s already a well-known fact that Trump—who won a second term in the Oval Office in Tuesday’s election against Vice President Kamala Harris—likes McDonald’s, which was emphasized during a campaign stop at one of the fast-food chain’s restaurants in Pennsylvania where Trump worked at the fry station last month.
While appearing on the Tucker Carlson Network (TCN), White mentioned Trump’s love for Big Macs to Carlson but also his fondness of the candy bar Milky Way and another Trump classic, Coca-Cola beverages.
White recalled a time when he and Trump watched a UFC event and Trump didn’t drink water, but instead, opted for a coke.
“It’s six hours. So, I’ll ask him, ‘You want a water?’” White said, adding that Trump said “no” to him.
“And then someone will bring him over a coke. And he’ll drink coke. I’ve never seen him drink water. Ever,” White said.
White also talked about how Trump is content with his body. “I don’t like too thin. I want some size, he always tells me,” White said. “He’s a different animal because I was doing the same thing, minus the Coca-Cola, and I had one foot in the grave—and I’m 55, not 78.”
White then admired Trump’s work ethic, telling Carlson, “He’s an absolute beast, this guy. He doesn’t sleep, he works hard, he flies everywhere. He’s a savage.”
Newsweek has reached out to Trump’s communications director, Steven Cheung, via email for comment late Saturday afternoon.
What Is Trump’s McDonald’s Order?
Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, wrote in his 2022 memoir Breaking History that one of Trump’s favorite meals was “a McDonald’s Big Mac, Filet-o-Fish, fries and a vanilla shake.”
A similar Trump go-to McDonald’s order—two Big Macs, two Fillet-O-Fish and a chocolate malted shake—was shared in the 2017 book Let Trump Be Trump written by former Trump campaign officials Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie
Politico reported in 2017, citing an unnamed former aide, that during his first presidential campaign, Trump’s bodyguard Keith Schiller would get him McDonald’s and his order would be Egg McMuffins in the morning and two quarter-pound hamburgers and a large fry later in the day.
Trump’s Love for Diet Coke
The New York Times reported in December 2017 that Trump drinks 12 Diet Cokes a day.
There have also been reports that Trump had what was deemed as a “Diet Coke button.”
While Trump did have a red button on his desk in the Oval Office that he reportedly used to order Diet Cokes, it wasn’t exclusively used for the bubbly beverage and it wasn’t installed by his administration, according to Snopes, a fact-checking site.
Snopes pointed to photographs of former presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama and President Joe Biden with the same red button on their desks.
