Today, millions of voters across America will head to the polls, as the nation votes on who will lead the country for the next four years.
The 2024 presidential race is one of the closest and most eventful in modern history. But how well do you remember what’s gone down on the campaign trail? Newsweek has compiled a quiz based on events that have happened during the race, so you can test how well you remember the race.
As America heads to the polls, the numbers show a close contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
No matter which candidate wins, they will make history, as Harris would be the first woman, first Black woman president and the first person of South Asian descent to be elected president if she defeats Trump.
If Trump wins, he would be the first convicted felon to be elected to the presidency, and only the second former president to return to the top job since Grover Cleveland in 1893.
The candidates have made their final pitches to voters as the race draws to a close. With polls showing a toss up, all eyes are on the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada and Wisconsin.
More than 82 million Americans have already voted, according to the University of Florida’s Election Lab, and results from key swing states may be too close to call on Tuesday night.
As people everywhere await the results, take our quiz below to test your knowledge of the 2024 election.
