Eric and Jessie James Decker are not only a superstar couple, they’re also big Dancing With the Stars fans — and they just put their moves to the test with a viral challenge.
On Monday, October 28, the fashion designer — who finished in 10th place on season 31 on DWTS in 2022 — took to Instagram to share a Reel in which she and her husband recreated a steamy moment on the show.
In a recent episode of Dancing With the Stars, contestant Danny Amendola and dance pro Witney Carson performed a routine which involved Amendola seductively lifting Carson off of the ground. Since its virility, videos featuring the trend have now come with a warning for those attempting the moves at home — but that didn’t deter the Deckers.
In Jessie’s clip, the singer, clad in a short black dress, lays flat on the ground, as the retired NFL wide receiver, who is wearing nothing but black shorts, lifts her up. The couple turns up the heat as Eric spins Jessie around and share a passionate kiss with her as they tear up the floor.
Carson herself saw Eric and Jessie’s clip, and cheered them on, commenting “WORK.”
According to a report from ABC, the original video clip of the dance move has pulled in over 11 million views on TikTok. Amendola and Carson spoke with Good Morning America amid the dance going viral. According to Carson, the dance partners were not expecting for their seductive moves to go viral.
“That leg move was very unique and special to Danny and I, and we just, we had no idea,” said Carson.
Amendola added that he was also surprised when he had discovered the clip’s popularity on the internet.
“I didn’t know what viral was. I thought my algorithm was freaking out,” Amendola said.
Other couples have tried to replicate the trend, however, Amendola warned that the move isn’t as smooth or seamless as it appeared on television.
“The hardest part is for the male in that regard is to keep her balanced coming up,” Amendola explained. “The main thing is really for the females [is] to keep that bottom leg straight.”
