A teenage girl was killed and another left fighting for her life after they fell and were run over by a train while subway surfing in Queens late Sunday, police said.
The so-far unidentified teen is the sixth person to die from the reckless stunt this year.
The two girls were riding on top of a southbound 7 train when they fell between the cars and were run over shortly before 11 p.m. at the 111th Street station in Corona, cops said.
Chilling photos showed pairs of sneakers and splatters of blood across the sidewalk below the elevated station.
One girl was declared dead at the scene and the other was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition with head trauma, police said. The girls’ identities have not been released.
Sunday’s incident marks the sixth subway surfing death this year as the alarming trend, often filmed for social media clout, continues.
Last week a 13-year-old boy was killed while subway surfing at the Forest Avenue station.
In September 11-year-old Cayden Thompson was struck in the head by a low metal beam and killed while riding on top of a G train in Brooklyn.
Local leaders have launched a public information campaign to warn teens about its dangers, but incidents appear to be increasing over last year, according to NYPD data.
Five people were killed last year, according to police.
