Shep Rose being “in love” wasn’t on our bingo card for Southern Charm Season 10, but here we are.
As one of many surprises to come out of the Season 10 trailer, which Bravo released today, Rose admits that he dropped the “L-bomb” with his new mystery woman.
“I’m in love, man,” he gleefully tells Craig Conover.
However, Madison LeCroy seems a little more skeptical of Rose’s new love interest, telling Patricia Altschul that she also happens to be a “big fan” of their show.
“Stalker!” Altschul playfully adds.
Even Whitney Sudler-Smith is cynical, pointing out that Rose is being “delusional” about his new relationship, while LeCroy bluntly says, “She’s not into him.”
But before Rose can look toward the future, it seems as though his past comes back to haunt him. Salley Carson, who Bravo fans might remember from her brief time on Southern Hospitality Season 2, reveals that she not only dated Taylor Ann Green‘s new beau Gaston Rojas, but she’s also “slept with” Rose, who dated Green for more than two years.
“I dated Shep for two-and-a-half years, y’all just fucked,” a fuming Green shouts at one point in the trailer.
Carson isn’t the only rookie with a salacious connection to a fellow Charmer. Newbie Molly O’Connell admits that she used to “sext” with Conover, but promises she’s “not trying to steal him from” his girlfriend (and Summer House icon) Paige DeSorbo.
Speaking of Conover, his relationship with Austen Kroll appears to be on the outs this season. According to DeSorbo, Kroll and Rose think the Sewing Down South star has “changed” because of her.
“If Craig’s seen with a beer in his hand, he thinks his whole business is going down,” Kroll says, before Conover later tells him, “Our friendship will never look like it used to.”
Elsewhere in the drama-filled trailer, JT Thomas — who’s returning for his sophomore season — is outed for calling Altschul a “bitch.” Plus, he shoots his shot with Venita Aspen, who seemingly confirms she’s on the same page as him.
But, as always, no one seems to be as messy as Conover — and we mean that in the most endearing way possible. After he’s accused of being an “embellisher” at the end of the teaser, he hilariously fires back, “I’m a lawyer and a storyteller!”
Southern Charm Season 10 premieres on Thursday, Dec. 5 on Bravo.
