As predicted, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have made their Eras Tour return in matching looks. While Lively and Reynolds typically compliment each other’s sartorial choices without obviously twinning, they chose similar white ensembles for Taylor Swift’s latest concert in New Orleans.
In sweet new videos making the rounds on social media, the pair can be seen embracing and swaying to “My Tears Ricochet” in the VIP section on October 25. In the clip, Reynolds is wearing a slightly Western-inspired short-sleeved white button-down while Lively is dressed in a classic white tank top and billowing white over-shirt of her own. Lively and Reynolds got all dressed up for a Broadway show.
White, of course, is the color best-associated with The Tortured Poets Department, making this the second time they’ve joint-cosplayed one of Swift’s albums. Just two weeks ago, the pair appeared to channel Midnights during a double date with the pop star and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
For that occasion, Reynolds’ white button-down featured gold stars across the navy collar, clearly evoking Swift’s Midnights era. Lively took a more subtle approach, donning a knit dress and fishnet stockings so scarlet, they were maroon. She topped off the “Maroon”-coded look with burgundy Valentino ankle boots.
Personally, I’m starting to wonder how these outfits come together. Blake Lively famously styles herself, but does Reynolds get just as excited to pick out a matching autumnal jacket for their morning walks in New York City? Or do we think Lively laid out the delightfully twee outfit he wore to compliment her ‘50s-inspired polka dot look? Either way, they’re clearly drawn to similar styles, considering Lively has been known to borrow her husband’s clothes from time to time.
