Rachael Ray is embarking on a new type of talk show — her own podcast called I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.
The beloved Food Network star, 56, says the new show will feature “raw” discussions about “life’s challenges.” For the series, Ray will sit down with chefs, artists, musicians, and other celebrities as they tackle all kinds of topics, like “the highs and lows of hard work.” Per the podcast description, there will be “no topic off limits.”
“I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead (quite literally!) is about life’s journeys and what keeps us going,” the Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off star said in a statement, adding, “It’s unscripted, raw, and real talk. Working fuels me, connecting with people fuels me, and this platform allows for connection and conversation on a more personal level, which really fuels me.”
Ray’s new podcast is set to debut on October 22, with the star chatting with Jenny Mollen about everything from love and marriage to “how having no filter has sometimes landed them in hot water.”
Billy Crudup, Bob Harper, Anne Burrell, Harlan Coben, Jacques Pepin, Jeremy Sisto, and Billy Porter are also on the docket for future episodes.
The TV personality’s news comes over a month after she drew fans’ concern over “slurred speech” in a video where she recounted an anecdote involving Tony Bennett.
Ray’s speech and appearance in the September 2 social media video prompted concerned reactions from her followers, with some viewers speculating that she might be experiencing health issues.
Notably, Ray did have vocal cord surgery in 2008. While she did not comment on the September 2 video or fans’ concern, Ray did seem to alleviate worry when she posted some behind the scenes footage from an upcoming episode of Rachael Ray Meals in Minutes weeks later.
Her followers expressed relief, complimenting the Emmy winner, and celebrating that she was “looking much better.”
