Rob Marciano returned to television months after his ABC News exit earlier this year.
Marciano has landed at CBS News as the meteorologist covering from Tampa, Florida as the state braces for Hurricane Milton to make landfall.
“Back to work… be safe Florida,” Marciano captioned a photo he shared on Instagram from his coverage on CBS News.
Marciano made his first appearance on October 8 during CBS Evening News reporting from Tampa.
In April of this year, it was reported that Marciano, a meteorologist on ABC’s Good Morning America, had left the network. The reason for his exit was not disclosed.

Marciano had been with the network since 2014. He had been a senior meteorologist for World News Tonight and the weekend edition of Good Morning America.
The meteorologist had previously worked as an anchor on Entertainment Tonight and a news and weather anchor at CNN.
CBS News has had some changes over the last months with CBS Saturday Morning co-host Jeff Glor among those affected by Paramount Global’s latest round of layoffs. Glor was the anchor of CBS Evening News from 2017 to 2019 and had been with the network since 2007.
Others departing include Anna Werner, senior consumer investigative correspondent, and Ben Tracy, senior national and environmental correspondent.
Jericka Duncan was recently named the anchor of Saturday and Sunday editions of CBS Weekend News.
In July of this year, it was announced that Norah O’Donnell was exiting the anchor chair of CBS Evening News and would take on a senior correspondent role at the network.
Gayle King recently signed a new deal to stay at CBS News where she co-hosts CBS Mornings.
