If you want to celebrate the first day of October with a bloodied, murderous, deranged James McAvoy, you’re in luck, because Speak No Evil is now available to buy and rent digital platforms.
Written and directed by Jame Watkins (Eden Lake, The Woman in Black), this psychological thriller stars McAvoy and Irish actor Aisling Franciosi as a seemingly nice British couple. They befriend a vacationing American couple, Louise and Ben Dalton (actors Mackenzie Davis and Alix West Lefler) to stay with them in their home. This generous hospitality quickly turns into a murderous nightmare. Note to self: Get a hotel when travelling abroad instead of accepting accommodations from strangers.
Also starring Dan Hough and Scoot McNairy, Speak No Evil—which is a remake of the 2022 Danish horror film of the same name—is the latest horror movie from Blumhouse Productions. And it’s certain to get you in the right mood for spooky season. Like most big Universal movies—including Monkey Man, The Fall Guy, The Bikeriders—Speak No Evil is coming to digital after just over two weeks in theaters. That means you can also expect Speak No Evil to stream on Peacock, the Universal-owned streamer, in the near future. Here’s what you should know about how to watch Speak No Evil online, and when to expect to see Speak No Evil streaming on Peacock.
Where to watch Speak No Evil 2024 on streaming:
Beginning on Tuesday, October 1, the 2024 Speak No Evil will be available to buy and rent digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Vudu, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the film costs $24.99 to buy a digital copy, and $19.99 to rent. If you rent the movie, you’ll have 48 hours to watch the movie after hitting “play.”
Speak No Evil is not yet streaming on any subscription streaming services, but we do expect to see Speak No Evil streaming on Peacock soon.
When will Speak No Evil 2024 be streaming on Peacock?
Speak No Evil‘s streaming release date on Peacock has not yet been announced, but we know that Speak No Evil will stream on Peacock eventually because it is a Universal movie, and Peacock is the streaming service owned by Universal. All the new Universal theatrical movies end up streaming on Peacock, though the wait period has varied by title.
Another Universal release, The Bikeriders, was pushed to digital after just over two weeks in theaters, and it began streaming on Peacock on August 9—about a month-and-a-half after opening in theaters, and about one month after releasing on digital.
If Speak No Evil follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie streaming on Peacock around the end of October 2024 or by early November 2024. That said, perhaps the movie will come to streaming sooner, to capitalize on spooky season.
This is all speculation. If you want to watch the 2024 Speak No Evil movie right away, you can buy or rent the movie online.
