Outside of relationships, it’s also a great time to focus on beauty, another of Venus’ attributes. “With Venus as Libra’s ruling planet, this new moon is also an excellent time to pursue beauty and creativity,” notes O’Connor. “You might feel inspired to redecorate, start a creative project, or simply enjoy the arts more deeply.”

According to O’Connor, this new moon occurs near several important lunar nodes. “Eclipses occur near the lunar nodes, which are points associated with destiny, karma, and life direction,” she says. “The North Node (representing future growth) will be in Aries, opposite Libra’s South Node (representing past patterns and where we need to let go). This adds to the eclipse’s energy, indicating that we need to release old relationship patterns (Libra South Node) and move toward greater independence and self-assertion (Aries North Node).”
Concludes O’Connor: “This solar eclipse in Libra is a powerful time for reflection on your relationships, fairness, and the balance between independence and connection. It may bring about significant changes in how you relate to others, urging you to let go of unhealthy dynamics or patterns that no longer serve you. On a personal level, it’s an ideal time to set new intentions for partnership, justice, and harmony in your life.”
