Family drama hasn’t kept Dave Grohl from Halloween shopping with his daughter. The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, was seen in photos obtained by Page Six exiting a Spirit Halloween store with his daughter Ophelia, 10.
The father-daughter duo seemed to have had a Halloween shopping spree — they carried two large plastic skeletons, as well as several more bags and boxes in the shopping cart that Grohl pushed.
This is the singer’s first public appearance with his daughter since he announced on his Instagram account that he was welcoming a child outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, September 10. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he continued. “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
In spending time with Ophelia, Grohl appeared to be working towards his goal of regaining his childrens’ trust. The father and daughter appeared cheerful as they carried their purchases to the car. They were even dressed similarly, both clad in gray T-shirts.
Ophelia is the youngest of the Nirvana drummer’s three children with Blum. They also share Violet Maye, 18 and Harper Willow, 15. Blum, who has been married to Grohl for 20 years, has not yet publicly commented on her husband’s infidelity.
The Foo Fighters were scheduled to appear at a Connecticut music festival on Sunday, September 29, but they canceled the show without an official explanation. “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information,” the band wrote on their Instagram page.
