The Chicago Bears are likely to be getting back one of their top pass catchers for their crucial Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The Bears could get back their star wide receiver, Keenan Allen.

Allen returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since re-aggravating his heel injury during the Bears’ Week 1 win over the Tennessee Titans.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared the news via Twitter/X.
Good news for the #Bears: Veteran WR Keenan Allen, who has missed the last couple games with a heel injury, is back at practice today on a limited basis. He’s tracking to return this week if all goes well.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Allen would do some drills on Wednesday, and he is hopeful he will play this Sunday in their second home game of the season.
Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is one of many players who is happy to have the veteran wide receiver after being without him for the last two weeks.
“It’s great,” Williams said. “It’s gonna be great for our offense. It’s just something else that the defense has to worry about throughout this week and then obviously on game day. And so it’s gonna be great for us. His special talent of getting open in a phone booth is gonna be great for us.”
Bears star wide receiver DJ Moore added that the return of Allen could unlock the passing game.
“Hopefully way better than it has been because now you don’t just got two people out there,” Moore said. “You got three that you’ve got to worry about. And you can’t just shade it to one side or to one person. With Keenan back in the mix, you’ve got to play the whole field.”
Eberflus said on Friday that Allen’s heel is getting better, although they ruled him out for Week 3.
“His heel [is] getting better,” Eberflus said. “He’s working back with the trainers. Speeds are getting better. Cutting, moving, all that’s better. “He’ll be ready when he’s ready; when his body tells him. We have a really good training staff, and those guys are trying to get him back as soon as possible. Keenan has been working diligently to get that done. He has been on the field. He has been moving and cutting. We’ll see where it goes next week.”
In one game this season, Allen recorded four receptions for 29 yards. His first outing of the season was a disappointment, and the Rams will look to keep him to those numbers this Sunday.
The Rams’ pass defense has struggled mightily, and Allen will look to take advantage of that this Sunday.
