A 74-year-old woman was punched in the face by a violent brute on a Queens subway train in an unprovoked attack Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The elderly straphanger was assaulted on a southbound A train as it approached the 104th and Liberty Avenue station in Ozone Park around 4:20 p.m., according to cops.
She was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
Police said the woman was randomly targeted by her attacker.
A person of interest, a 30-year-old man, was taken into custody, police said.
No charges have been filed.
