Eve Hewson is eyeing a reunion with Steven Spielberg for his next big event film.
The Perfect Couple actress is in early talks to star in the Oscar-winning director’s upcoming untitled project at Universal Pictures, Deadline has learned, after Hewson previously appeared in Spielberg’s 2015 historical drama Bridge of Spies.
Scheduled for a May 15, 2026 premiere, the screenplay is based on a story by Spielberg, with a screenplay by longtime collaborator David Koepp (Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). Kristi Macosko Krieger is producing.

After the project was announced in May at Universal and Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, Emily Blunt was circling one of the lead roles in June, with Colin Firth also in early talks to join the cast as of last month.
Hewson can currently be seen starring alongside Nicole Kidman and Dakota Fanning in Netflix’s The Perfect Couple. She will next return for Season 2 of the Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters, in addition to leading Hulu’s upcoming Formula One comedy series Downforce. Hewson is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Narrative and Sloane Offer Weber Dern.
Spielberg’s next project comes after he released his 2022 semi-autobiographical feature The Fabelmans through Universal, which grossed $45.6 million worldwide and was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.
