EXCLUSIVE: Fox‘s new comedy series Going Dutch has added 5 new cast members joining previously announced star Denis Leary.
Taylor Misiak (Dave), Danny Pudi (Mythic Quest, Community), Laci Mosely (iCarly, Lopez vs. Lopez) and Hal Cumpston (The Greatest Beer Run Ever, Nine Perfect Strangers) have been set as series regulars with Dempsey Bryk (Willow) set to heavily recur.
The single-cam comedy Going Dutch follows arrogant loudmouth U.S. Army “Colonel Patrick Quinn” (Leary), who after an epically unfiltered rant, is reassigned to the Netherlands, where he is punished with a command position at the least important army base in the world. After serving with distinction in every warzone of the last three decades, he now finds himself in charge of a base with no guns, no weapons, and no tactical purpose.
Instead, it has a Michelin-star level commissary, top notch bowling alley, and the best (and only) fromagerie in the U.S. Army. Surrounded by a diverse group of underdogs, the colonel tries to reinstall military discipline and professionalism with the help of the base’s previous interim leader, who happens to be his estranged daughter.

Misiak portrays “Captain Maggie Quinn,” acting commanding officer of USAG in the Netherlands and the estranged daughter of The Colonel. She is a kind and empathetic diplomat until her father is in the room, at which point she becomes as surly and caustic as an insult comic. Growing up in the shadow of her legendary father, Maggie has ambitions of her own including rising through the ranks of the military, becoming the first female President, and finally having one successful romantic relationship.
Pudi portrays “XO Major Abraham Shah,” The Colonel’s Executive Officer and codependent right-hand man. Major Shah takes his responsibility of supporting The Colonel very seriously, from executing battle plans to taking on The Colonel’s unwanted emotional baggage. He is seemingly the most confident and competent soldier on the base, but under the surface something is starting to give. After twenty years of being attached to The Colonel’s hip, he’s starting to wonder where his boss ends and he begins. Sparked by his connection with Maggie, he’s finally ready to start figuring out who he is outside of the military.
Mosely portrays “Sergeant Dana Conway,” the cunning, crafty Supply Sergeant at the base and Maggie’s best friend (though Maggie is not her best friend). Dana grew up in Yonkers, it was either the Cosmetology School or the Army but she couldn’t handle the high stakes of cutting someone else’s bangs. Coming from nothing, she’s always had an entrepreneurial drive to get the most out of life. She has turned her service at the base into a European pansexual paradise surrounded by incredible food, art, and wine. For most soldiers, the base is a place to be banished to or escaped from. For her, it’s home.
Cumpston portrays “Corporal Elias Papadakis,” “Technically” a soldier, Papadakis is the base’s brilliant head of IT. He thinks the physical demands of being a soldier are a waste of his talents. He may be unable to mount a bicycle, but he can hack into any system. Papadakis has soft hands but thick skin, which makes him the perfect target for The Colonel who sees him as everything that’s wrong with the military.
Bryk portrays “Private Anthony “BA” Chapman,” a sweet baby himbo, BA is a golden retriever of a soldier. Excited by just about everything, BA is ready to prove himself to The Colonel, and to anyone else who will give him a pat on the back. BA is physically strong, but mentally weak and always cracks under pressure. BA stands for “Below Average” a nickname he received because he’s scored that on every mental acuity test the army requires.
Going Dutch is produced by FOX Entertainment Studios. Joel Church-Cooper serves as writer, showrunner and executive producer on the series. Denis Leary and Jack Leary also will serve as executive producers. The series is distributed by FOX Entertainment Global.
