Duskmourn, the latest expansion for Magic: The Gathering, is channeling every imaginable flavor of the impending spooky season. This new horror-themed set arrives on Sept. 27, and draws inspiration from cosmic, supernatural nightmares with an eccentric art style to match. As with previous sets for Magic: The Gathering, Duskmourn will launch with numerous products, including bundles, Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, Commander Decks, and more. If you’d like to experience this new set, we’ve outlined the various formats below and where you can reserve some of these creepy cards.
Duskmourn Bundle
While the Duskmourn: House of Horror Bundle doesn’t include enough cards to assemble a standard deck, buying it is the fastest way to get introduced to the new cards in this set. Each Duskmourn: House of Horror Bundle includes nine Duskmourn Play Boosters, a traditional foil alternate art card, 30 land cards (half of which are foil cards), a Spindown life counter, and a storage box. The $49.99 bundle is currently available to pre-order from Amazon, and Best Buy, while GameStop has the bundle available for $52.99.
Duskmourn Play Boosters
Duskmourn Play Booster boxes contain a total of 36 individual packs full of cards from the new Magic: The Gathering set. Each pack of 15 cards can include up to four rares, with a guaranteed traditional foil card, plus a single token or art card. Play Booster boxes for Duskmourn are available for pre-order for $174.99 from Amazon or Best Buy, while GameStop has boxes available for $169.99.
Duskmourn Collector Boosters
Collector Boosters are the fastest way to add the coolest and rarest cards from the Duskmourn expansion to your MTG library. Each of the 12 packs includes 15 cards, which include at least five that are rare (or better), with a guaranteed five alt-border cards. Collector Boosters are also the only way to potentially find extended art or textured foil cards from the Duskmourn set. Boxes of 12 Duskmourn Collector Boosters are available to pre-order from Amazon for $229, or from Best Buy and GameStop for $279.99.
Duskmourn Nightmare Bundle
A step up from the standard House of Horrors Bundle, Duskmourn features Nightmare Bundle, which is basically a collector’s edition for this set. This box set includes a pair of Collector Booster packs, six Play Booster packs and 20 foil full-art land cards. Inside, you’ll have a chance to find one of three movie poster-themed promo cards and one of three borderless promo cards inside. Also in the box are a set of three double-sided movie posters, a deck box, and a glow-in-the-dark Spindown life counter.
One notable difference from the rest of the new Duskmourn products is that the Nightmare Bundle won’t be available until Oct. 18, but you can still pre-order it from Best Buy for $77.99, while GameStop or Amazon have pre-orders available for $79.99.
Duskmourn Commander Decks
For anyone who wants to get right into playing with cards from the new expansion, Duskmourn will launch with a total of four different Commander Decks. Each Commander Deck contains a 100-card library, ready to play out of the box, in addition to a pair of exclusive borderless foil Commander cards, ten Archenemy cards, ten double-sided token cards, and a pair of randomly selected Collector Booster cards. Individual Commander Decks are available to pre-order from Amazon starting at $38.92, while a bundle containing all four of the new decks is also an option for $157.99.
