Famed author Stephen King is calling for Paramount+ to renew its supernatural procedural Evil for another season.
After recently giving the show his seal of approval, the literary icon demanded the streaming platform renew the series that just concluded with Season 4.
“Dear Paramount+: More EVIL, please,” King wrote Sunday on X, to which star Katja Herbers responded, “From the bottom of our Evil hearts, thank you!!!”
The two celebrities started chatting after Herbers shared a video this week of King praising the show in a PBS News interview. “There’s a show called Evil on Paramount+ that I like,” he said in the clip. “It’s great. It’s funny and it’s witty and it’s very, very sharp.”
“OKAY CAN WE DO THE PICK UP NOW? thank you @StephenKing,” Herbers captioned the video.
King shared the clip in a quote post, adding that the show is “smart, thought-provoking, occasionally VERY scary. Plus, the chemistry between the three evil-hunters is strong and… to quote Kamala… joyful.”
From the bottom of our Evil hearts, thank you!!!

Robert King, who co-created Evil alongside Michelle King, also shared the author’s praise, which he acknowledged was “such an honor.”
The series explores the originis of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. A forensic psychologist named Dr. Kristen Bouchard (Herbers), a Catholic seminarian named David Acosta (Mike Colter) and a tech expert named Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi) work together to investigate supernatural events for the Catholic Church.
Evil also starred Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, Andrea Martin, Kurt Fuller, Marti Matulis, Brooklyn Shuck, Sjylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp.
The series originally premiered on CBS in 2019 and moved to Paramount+ after one season. Back in February, the streamer confirmed that the show would end with Season 4.
Following last week’s series finale, Robert told Deadline he could imagine “two more seasons” of the show, adding, “If we’re a victim of anything, it’s a timing. Obviously, since the strike, but also the Wall Street reevaluation of the business, there’s been a change in attitude on things. And obviously, as you probably know, with Paramount+ there is some reevaluation of what they’re doing and the decision was made to end the show. And I think the popularity of the show didn’t really hit until after some of those decisions were made.”
Seasons 1 & 2 of Evil are currently availble to stream on Netflix.
