NBA superstar guard Stephen Curry will remain with the team he has spent his entire career as we enter the 2024-25 season, the Golden State Warriors. After capturing his first gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Curry is coming off a summer in which he’s shown that he is still among the top players in the world.

The 36-year-old is still at the top of his game, and while that may be the case, curry’s team, the Warriors, aren’t coming into the season with high hopes. However, whenever you have a player like Curry on the team, they will continue to be in the mix.
This season will tell us a lot about the front office and how much they are willing to help their best player. If this season doesn’t go as planned for the Warriors, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst says Golden State will be a team to watch for who becomes available for the trade deadline.
“We get past the October deadline of an extension, and they don’t find a deal there, I think he [Stephen Curry] becomes a high probability of being traded during the season,” said Windhorst. “That’s one of the things we’re going to watch. I think the big thing is that Joe Lacob and Mike Dunleavy are out there looking to really add to this team. They scaled back their spending, they’ve reduced their luxury tax bill by $150 million this year. There’s no doubt that their spending is down, but that doesn’t mean they won’t continue to spend. As this season goes along, we’re going to watch the Warriors, how they start, and who may become available during the year.”
The Warriors have suffered some significant losses this summer. They lost long-time Warrior, four-time NBA champion, and future Hall of Famer Klay Thompson. Thompson will start fresh with the Dallas Mavericks and do his best to revitalize his career alongside Kyrie Irving and Luka Dončić.
The Warriors also lost future Hall of Fame guard Chris Paul to the San Antonio Spurs and forward Dario Saric to the Denver Nuggets. In response, Golden State added De’Anthony Melton, Buddy Hield, and Kyle Anderson.
According to Vegasinside, the Warriors’ win total is set at 43.5, along with the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Western Conference is no joke, and if the Warriors come out sluggish, we could see some significant changes for Golden State in no time.
