Call of Duty returns to the conspiracy-laden Black Ops franchise with Black Ops 6. While the latest Call of Duty title doesn’t launch until Oct. 25, pre-orders are already available.
Black Ops 6 will launch with a total of 16 new multiplayer maps and also marks the return of a cooperative, round-based zombies mode. This new entry also introduces some substantial changes to player traversal with its omnidirectional movement — while players were previously only able to sprint, slide, and dive with forward momentum, they can now perform these actions in any direction. You’ll also have the option to enable a variety of intelligent movement settings to automate certain actions like sprinting and mantling.
There are currently two different versions of Black Ops 6 available to pre-order: a standard edition and the more feature-packed Vault Edition. Below, we’ve detailed what you get with each version and where to reserve a copy. If you do place a pre-order, make sure to check out our detailed breakdown of how to access the open beta and when it kicks off where you live.
Black Ops 6 standard edition
Pre-ordering the standard edition of Black Ops 6 will get you access to the full game when it launches on Oct. 25, but you’ll also get access to the Woods Operator Pack, unlocking three versions of the classic Black Ops character, as well as the Reflect 115 Camo Pack to use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile. Digital and physical versions of the game get access to all of the same bonuses; however, reserving a physical copy from GameStop will also get you an exclusive steelbook case.
The standard, $69.99 edition of Black Ops 6 is available to pre-order for either PlayStation or Xbox from Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, or GameStop, while PC players can reserve a copy from Steam.
Black Ops 6 Vault Edition
The $99.99 Vault Edition of Black Ops 6 includes everything found in the standard version of the game. However, you’ll also get access to a variety of cosmetic items and other digital bonuses. In addition to the Woods Operator Pack and Reflect 115 Camo Pack, you’ll also get access to the following items:
- Five masterwork weapons with exclusive skins
- Four exclusive operators
- Season one Battle Pass with 20 tier skips
- 1100 CP to spend on in-game items
- Zombies GobbleGum Pack with 12 high rarity GobbleGums
The $99.99 Vault Edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available to pre-order for PlayStation and Xbox from Amazon, Best Buy, or GameStop, and for PC via Steam. While this version of the game is technically a digital exclusive, pre-ordering from GameStop will still get you a collector’s steelbook case with your purchase.
Also, if you’ve already reserved a standard copy of the game digitally from Xbox or Steam, a Vault Edition upgrade is available for $29.99, which will get you access to the digital bonus items you’d otherwise miss out on. The Vault Edition upgrade is also compatible for players who are playing the standard edition via Xbox Game Pass.
