By now, we have become accustomed to the superstardom that is New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge. Almost on a daily basis, the power-hitting right-hander amazes when he steps onto the field.

This season, he seems to have taken things up a notch and is currently the leading candidate for the American League MVP honor. It would be his second MVP of his career, and he has helped turn the Yankees into one of the better teams in the game.
On Sunday, Judge hit his 50th home run and with it, it cemented him among some elite company. It marked the third time in his career that Judge has hit at least 50 home runs in a season, putting him alongside some other special talents.
The other players to reach this feat are Babe Ruh, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, and Alex Rodriguez. Each player is known for their power and now Judge stands among them.

Judge followed up his 50th home run by hitting his 51st as well. He continues to show that what we think his limitations are are incorrect.
Alongside slugger Juan Soto in the lineup, Judge has feasted off opposing pitching this year. His approach at the plate has been special, and it seems that there is no stopping him this season.
Former Yankees legend Derek Jeter praised the performance that Judge has done this season. He has enjoyed watching him take the torch of the historic Yankees franchise.
“I personally can’t relate to it. It’s amazing, it seems like he just continues to get better and better,” Derek Jeter said. “He’s fun to watch and he’s carried that legacy and tradition of the Yankee organization and superstar players, and he’s a great representative of this organization.”
Rodriguez himself knows what it takes to succeed in New York and was complimentary of Judge.
“Aaron is such a unicorn,” Alex Rodriguez added following the Old-Timers’ ceremony. “I love the game of baseball so much, and I’ve never seen a player quite like him, that looks like an NFL tight end: 6-foot-7, 282 pounds, under 10 percent body fat. The guy is just a specimen.
He is currently on pace to break his own single-season AL record of 62 home runs that he set in 2022. If Judge can do that, it would be an incredible feat.
There is still a little over a month left in the season, so it’s possible that Judge could challenge Barry Bonds’s record of 74 home runs. While it’s unlikely, it’s never a good idea to doubt Judge’s ability.
As fans love to say, “All Rise” as we watch Judge complete another legendary season of his career.
