For a show set in France, Emily In Paris is kind of uptight about enforcing strictly monogamous relationships, non? At least, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) certainly gets worked up over her on-again, off-again flirtation with hot chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), who is in and out of another relationship the whole time they’re in the talking stage.

Season 4
Season 4, episode 5: Sofia is suspicious of Camille and Gabriel having lingering feelings for one another, and she and Camille disagree over other matters, leading to Sofia returning to Greece. Emily and Gabriel have a lovey-dovey night out. Camille finds out she’s not pregnant, but doesn’t reveal this news to Emily or Gabriel.
In Season 4, episode 4: Emily and Gabriel are finally together, but as Camille and Sofia are living with Gabriel, it’s hard to find alone time. Sofia and Camille move out of Gabriel’s apartment and into their own place in the same building.
Also, will Alfie return? And when’s Emily going to Rome?
Season 4, episode 3, Emily attends a masked ball, where she flirts with both Gabriel and Alfie. Eventually, she chooses Gabriel.
Season 4, episode 2: Emily figures out that Camille is in Greece with Sofia, and tells a shocked Gabriel about the affair. Later, Sofia calls Emily because Camille has now gone missing from Greece. Fortunately, Camille has her location sharing on with Emily, so Emily tracks her down and brings her home to Paris, where they find Sofia and Gabriel at his restaurant. Camille and Gabriel patch things up as friends and decide to co-parent, while Camille pursues a relationship with Sofia.
Season 4, episode 1: Emily’s love life goes viral on TikTok, and Alfie isn’t returning her calls. they begin to reconcile, and then Emily learns from Gabriel that Camille is missing.
Season 3
Season 3, episode 10: Emily tries to get Camille to confess her fling with Sofia to Gabriel. Gabriel kisses Emily on the hand, which Camille sees, and then suggests that he and Camille get married right there and then. But when it comes time for her vows, Camille confesses that she and Emily had made a pact not to date Gabriel, and that she believes he and Emily have been in love all along, crushing Alfie. She leaves, and Gabriel tells Emily that Camille is pregnant.
Season 3, episode 9: Gabriel re-commits himself to his relationship with Camille and sets his sights on a Michelin star. Emily helps Gabriel find the perfect spot to propose to Camille, but Camille surprises him by popping the question first. Emily and Alfie grow closer.
Season 3, episode 8: A drunk Gabriel tells Emily that he’s afraid he’s losing Camille, and that Camille has never truly forgiven him for hooking up with Emily.
Season 3, episode 5: Emily catches Camille making out with Sofia, and isn’t sure whether or not she should tell Gabriel.
Season 3, episode 4: Camille flirts with artist Sofia.
Season 3, episode 3: Camille confides in Emily that she and Gabriel have been in a rut since moving in together.
Season 3, episode 2: Emily finds out that Alfie has not left Paris for London as planned, and serenades him with the song “Alfie,” so he takes her back.
Season 3, episode 1: Emily takes too long to decide what she wants, and Alfie dumps her.
Season 2
Season 2, episode 10: Alfie reveals that he has to move back to London, and Emily has to choose between going back to Chicago and staying in Paris. She confesses her feelings to Gabriel but, whoops, he’s back together with Camille.
Season 2, episode 9: Alfie finds out Emily and Gabriel used to hook up, and it strains but doesn’t break his bond with Emily.
Season 2, episode 8: Gabriel and Alfie become friends, though Gabriel thinks Alfie is the (only) reason he’s not with Emily and isn’t a fan of their relationship. Emily goes to the chateau for work, and sees that Camille’s mother Louise is trying to get Camille and Gabriel back together, which Emily has mixed feelings about.
Season 2, episode 6: The three actually get along as friends, and Emily decides to go for it with Alfie.
Season 2, episode 5: Emily meets hot English banker Alfie in her French class. She also kisses Gabriel. Camille decides to forgive Emily, and the two reconciled friends make a pact that neither of them will date Gabriel, and she breaks his heart when she rejects him at a party.
Season 2, episode 4: Emily and Gabriel get flirty while cooking leeks (yes), but Emily tells Gabriel to tell Camille that their night together meant nothing. Emily writes an apology letter to Camille, which Camille rejects.
Season 2, episode 3: Emily is still in denial over her feelings for Gabriel and trying to reunite him with Camille. Camille runs into Emily’s ex, Mathieu, who insinuates that Emily has also seen someone else, but Camille doesn’t believe him. At Emily’s birthday party, Camille sees that Emily has Gabriel’s favorite omelet pan (a gift from when he intended to leave Paris) and puts things together, accusing Emily of being a fake friend and exposing her in front of all her guests.
Season 2, episode 2: Emily feels guilty and makes it her mission to get Gabriel and Camille back together. Camille flirts with another man, but admits to Emily that she still loves Gabriel.
Season 2, episode 1: Emily doesn’t tell Camille and her and Gabriel.
Season 1
Season 1, episode 10: Camille and Gabriel fight over Gabriel’s decision to move to Normandy and seemingly break up. On his last night in Paris, Emily again kisses him, and they have sex. They decide not to pursue a relationship out of respect for Camille, but Gabriel’s plans change and he stays in Paris, creating an awkward situation.
Season 1, episode 8: Emily tries to avoid Gabriel and Camille, but Camille still considers Emily a friend and asks her firm to represent her family’s company. All three of them drive to Camille’s family’s chateau, with Emily sitting on Gabriel’s lap because the car is so small. Once there, Gabriel and Camille bicker, and Emily sleeps with Camille’s underage brother.
Season 1, episode 7: They kiss again on a wild night out and decide to stop hanging out together.
Season 1, episode 6: Emily begins dating Thomas, which draws Gabriel’s ire.
Season 1, episode 5: Emily grows closer with Camille, and though she and Gabriel had agreed to pretend their kiss never happened, they both admit they have feelings for one another.
Season 1, episode 4: Emily meets a nice young woman named Camille who helps her translate from French to English in a pinch, and they become friends. Emily impulses kisses Gabriel after he helps her in a work situation, then runs into Camille…and learns that she and Gabriel are together. It’s around here that Emily dumps her lame Chicago boyfriend.
Season 1, episode 2: Emily goes to a fancy restaurant and discovers that Gabriel is the chef there. They continue to flirt.
