A Delta Airlines worker struck a passenger multiple times with a beverage cart, leaving her “seriously” injured on a flight to New York, the woman claims in a lawsuit.
Florida resident Gail Hamilton was in an aisle seat aboard Delta Flight 263 from Paris to John F. Kennedy on June 21, 2022 when a flight attendant “unexpectedly struck” her multiple times with the “loaded cart,” hurting her right shoulder, she said in the Manhattan federal court filing.
Hamilton, who is seeking unspecified damages, accused Delta and the unidentified employee of negligence for failing to properly train workers and failing to safely operate the cart in the aisle of the plane.
Hamilton’s attorney and a Delta spokesperson declined comment.

Delta hasn’t been flying high recently.
Last week, the airline was sued in US District Court in Georgia for refusing to give refunds following last month’s CrowdStrike snafu, which canceled hundreds of flights across the US after a global tech outage that crippled industries worldwide.
