It’s been nearly ten years since we last got a new Dragon Age game, but the wait will finally be over this fall. The latest entry in the fantasy saga from Bioware, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, launches on Oct. 31 and is already available to pre-order for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation from various retailers.
Set after the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, the new entry in the Dragon Age saga places a renewed emphasis on action while retaining Bioware’s trademark character customization options and colorful cast of companions.
If you’re as excited as we are to return to the realm of Thedas, below we’ve rounded up every version of Dragon Age: The Veilguard that’s currently available to pre-order, where you can get it, and the various bonuses included with each edition.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard standard edition
The standard edition of Dragon Age: The Veilguard doesn’t include much outside of the game itself, but still comes with some pre-order bonuses. If you reserve a copy before the Oct. 31 launch date, you’ll get access to the Warrior, Mage, and Rogue Blood Dragon Armor cosmetic set for Rook inspired by the same armor set found in Dragon Age 2.
You can currently pre-order the basic version of Dragon Age: The Veilguard for consoles from GameStop, Best Buy, PlayStation, and Xbox for $69.99. The PC version of the game can be reserved from Steam or Epic for $59.99. While it’s a bit odd that the console version costs an extra $10, it’s worth noting that pre-ordering from Best Buy will get you a $10 gift card to use on future purchases once the game ships.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard deluxe edition
Pre-orders of Dragon Age: The Veilguard deluxe edition includes everything found in the standard edition, but you’ll also get access to several additional outfit and weapon cosmetics for both Rook and their companions for an extra $10. A full list of the differences between both editions and a preview of the included cosmetics can be found below.
Best Buy’s $10 gift card promotion also applies to pre-orders of the $89.99 deluxe edition, but you can also reserve a console copy of Dragon Age: The Veilguard from GameStop, PlayStation, and Xbox for $89.99. The $79.99 PC version is also available to pre-order from Steam and Epic.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Rook’s Coffer Edition
As the name suggests, the $219.99 Rook’s Coffer Edition of Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a treasure trove filled to the brim with exclusive collectibles. In addition to all of the cosmetic items featured in the deluxe version of the game, the Rook’s Coffer Edition also includes the following items.
- Light-up Lyrium dagger
- Rook’s card deck (a standard 52-card deck featuring illustrations from Dragon Age: The Veilguard)
- Enchanted D12 with drawstring storage pouch
- Glass potion flask
- Cloth map of Thedas and storage quiver
- 18 x 24-inch companion lithograph
Right now, the Rooks Coffer Edition is only available to pre-order from GameStop; however, the Bioware store is also selling a $150 version that includes all of the previously mentioned collector’s items but doesn’t include a copy of the game.
