Top Indian stars Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar will headline the cast of Netflix‘s The Royals.
Veteran actress Zeenat Aman will also make a special appearance in the series, marking her Netflix debut. With a career spanning more than five decades, she is well-known for her roles in titles like Haré Rama Haré Krishna, Don and Insaf Ka Tarazu.
The Royals follows the clash between an entitled Prince Charming (played by Khatter) and a startup whiz (played by Pednekar). Making her series debut with The Royals, Pednekar rose to prominence with her roles in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Pati Patni Aur Woh.
Khatter has starred in Beyond the Clouds, Dhadak as well as the British miniseries A Suitable Boy.
Produced by Pritish Nandy and created by Rangita and Ishita Pritish Nandy, the series will also feature Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Chunky Panday, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan, Sumukhi Suresh, Udit Arora, Lisa Mishra and Luke Kenny in the cast.
Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana serve as the series’ directors.
