The Miami Dolphins have been big spenders this season, as the team has offered extensions to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Though all three players were more than worth a contract extension, the team was not done spending.

Ahead of the Dolphins’ preseason opener on Friday against the Atlanta Falcons, the team was surprised with some new renovations for Hard Rock Stadium, which the team calls home.

Adam Schefter reported on the new renovations, which were donated by Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. The newly renovated locker room looks immaculate and should welcome the players in to start their quest for a Super Bowl ring.
The new renovations include a stone-like wall emblazoned with the Dolphins logo, brown accents on what appear to be new furniture, and a row of new lockers.
Ross is no stranger to writing big checks when it comes to wanting to sign big-name free agents, or simply treat players to some brand-new lockers. Either way, these renovations are set to be used when the Dolphins begin preseason.
The renovations also come at a time when the Hard Rock Stadium went through the drama of hosting the Copa America Finals. The soccer match between Argentina and Colombia went off the rails when patrons attempted to break into the stadium to see the match.
The resulting chaos led to thousands of dollars worth of damage to Hard Rock Stadium, with investigators attempting to determine the level of damage that occurred. It appears that structural damage did not happen, and the Dolphins will still host the Falcons for their first preseason game.
The new locker room renovations might not be linked to the damage that occurred from rabid fans breaking into the stadium, but it’s a nice reminder from Ross that he cares deeply about this team.
The Dolphins are playoff hopefuls, and the team is chock full of talent. Eight players from Miami were named to the NFL Top 100, including Hill being named as No. 1.
The Dolphins have not won a playoff game since 2000, and they are hoping to finally shake off their postseason woes. The sky is the limit for a team that has this good of an offense.
With three of their players locked up for the next few years, the hope is they can compete for a Super Bowl for the foreseeable future. At least for now, they can achieve this quest with a brand-new locker room.
