TikTok star David Allen on Sunday revealed the devastating loss of his newborn daughter who died late last month.
“I have cried every tear I can possibly cry I think,” Allen said to his millions of social media followers. “It’s not easy. I don’t wish this on anybody.”
The baby, named Lily Grace Allen, was born on June 21 and died on July 27, according to Allen.
“I don’t even know what to say. I’ve waited a week to even mention it because I didn’t know how to talk about it,” he said. “So yeah, I don’t really know what else to say. I just wanted to get it out there I guess.”
Allen, whose social media handle is @ToTouchAnEmu, gushed over his adorable baby girl in a couple social media posts during the five weeks she was alive.
“Introducing Lily Allen 6-21-24. Will definitely be farming content off my baby sorry in advance,” he joked in one caption with a heart emoji on Instagram.
He said in Sunday’s somber post that being Lily’s parent along with his wife Jessica was the “coolest thing” he’s ever done.
The video creator, who has more than 10 million followers on TikTok, encouraged followers to donate to Children’s Medical Center Dallas or “just go hug your little one, squeeze them tight for me.”
A memorial for her will be held Tuesday in Texas, he noted.
The newborn’s cause of death is not publicly known.
