An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing baby in Atlanta who is believed to be in “extreme danger,” according to authorities.
Two-month-old Reya Clark was abducted on July 31 at 3:30 a.m. by Randy Bernard Clark, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which issued a Levi’s Call on behalf of Sandy Springs Police Department. A Levi’s Call is Georgia’s version of an AMBER Alert.
Police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that Randy Clark is Reya’s father, but he does not have custody of the baby. According to local news reports, he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
The two were last seen at the Home2 Suites hotel at 6110 Peachtree Dunwoody Road near Perimeter Mall according to the Georgia State Patrol. The police said they didn’t have a description of the vehicle they may be in.
Reya Clark is described by police as being 18 inches tall and weighing 15 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt and a diaper.
Police said the 22-year-old Randy Clark is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 250 pounds and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, pants and blue slippers.
Newsweek has reached out to the GBI and the Sandy Springs Police Department for comment.
According to a report from Fox 5 Atlanta, Randy Clark was accused of shooting at a relative last year.
Fox reported that according to the Conyers Police Department, Clark fired two rounds at his brother during an argument. The shooting happened just after 1 p.m. on September 29, 2023.
The police described Clark as “armed and dangerous” following this violent confrontation, according to Fox.
Police are asking that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Reya Clark to contact 911 or the Sandy Springs PD at 770-551-6900.
What Is a Levi’s Call?
Levi’s Call is an investigative tool which can be activated only be local law enforcement, via a request to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. A Levi’s Call is Georgia’s AMBER Alert.
In the event that an abduction is confirmed and investigators decide that the case in question meets the Alert Criteria, they contact the relevant Georgia Bureau of Investigation office.
The office then in turn verifies whether an alert is verified and works with the local investigator to draft an share an Alert Bulletin.
Levi’s Call is named after 11-year-old Levi Frady who was murdered in 1997. Police are still searching for his killer.

An AMBER Alert is the emergency response system which shares information about child abduction in order to mobilize the public into locating the child.
The “AMBER” is an acronym for “America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response.”
The emergency message alerts mean that there has been a child abducted and this child is in immediate danger.
