Actor Hector David Jr., who some may recognize for playing the Green Power Ranger in Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Megaforce, has been accused of assaulting an elderly man.
The actor was identified after Nampa Police Department shared a video on social media of someone pushing an elderly man to the ground after getting into a “verbal altercation about parking.”
The video shows the suspect walking up to an elderly man with his walker who was standing in front of his black pickup truck and shoving him to the ground. It then shows him saying something to the victim, though the video has no audio, before climbing into his car and fleeing the scene.
The video notes that the victim was helped after the incident and was not injured.
Local news outlet KTVB7 notes that Idaho police are still looking for David and are in the process of issuing a warrant for his arrest.
David is being charged with misdemeanor battery following the altercation.
The actor was set to appear at Magic Valley Comic-Con this weekend, though the convention has since confirmed that he is no longer attending the event.
In a statement to KTVB, the Comic-Con’s marketing director Larissa Long said, “We are just finding out about this ourselves. We are looking into it and will take appropriate action.”
David is best known for his role in the 2011 series Power Rangers Samurai as Mike, the Green Samurai Ranger, a role he later reprised in the Power Rangers Megaforce series in 2014. He also appeared in Power Ranger Super Megaforce: The Legendary Battle in 2015 and several Power Rangers video games.
David has also appeared in Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Keeping up with the Joneses and Rivals.
It appears that David has removed his social media accounts since the altercation took place last Friday (July 26).
This investigation is ongoing.
