New Line is co-financing and releasing the Zazie Beetz horror movie They Will Kill You from Skydance and Andy and Barbara Muschietti’s genre label Nocturna Pictures.
The movie, which Deadline first told you about, reunites New Line with It franchise filmmakers, the Muschiettis, who are already expanding that Stephen King franchise with the HBO prequel series Welcome to Derry.
Kirill Sokolov will direct from a script by Sokolov and Alex Litvak. They Will Kill You follows a woman who answers a help-wanted ad to be a housekeeper in a mysterious New York City high-rise. She doesn’t realize she is entering a community that has seen a number of disappearances over the years.
Producers are David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, the Muschiettis, and Dan Kagan. EPs are Russell Ackerman, John Schoenfelder, Kirill Sokolov, Alex Litvak and Carl Hampe.

Nocturna, which was launched earlier this year by Skydance and the Muschiettis, produces high-quality, horror features for global audiences in both theatrical and streaming.
New Line counts two billion-dollar horror franchises, the It movies at $1B+ and The Conjuring Universe at over $2B worldwide and counting.
This weekend, Warner Bros has the M. Night Shyamalan directed horror movie Trap which is expected to ring up $15M-$20M.
