Olympic tickets are still available for some of Team GB’s best medal chances, while other events are selling for as little as €15 (£12.50).
One of the big events for which there are still tickets is the athletics in the Stade de France on Aug 5, when Keely Hodgkinson will likely be competing in the 800m final.
There are also cheap tickets for football, basketball, rugby and handball available throughout next week.
Hodgkinson, 22, described as Britain’s poster athlete of the Olympics, is one of the favourites to take gold next Monday evening.
Her teammate, Phoebe Gill, 17, will be competing alongside her and could also be in with a chance of a medal.
Tickets are also still going for Monday’s kayak cross final in which Joe Clarke could make the podium, although it is a particularly unpredictable and chaotic event.
There are tickets from as little as €85, albeit with a restricted view. For a full unrestricted view, however, tickets start at €385 and go as high as €1,000.
Taxi drivers said Paris was much quieter than normal, although on Monday morning drivers said the number of tourists did appear to be growing now the Games had finally begun.
One driver, Hakin, said: “Hopefully more people will come as they see the Olympics on TV and get excited about the sport.”
During the opening days of the Paris 2024 Olympics, most stadiums, particularly the indoor events, have been packed but some have had a noticeable number of empty seats.
Andy Murray’s dramatic tennis comeback on court Suzanne Lenglen at the Roland Garros stadium, which has a capacity of 10,000, was watched by less than half that number.
Had the 37-year-old failed to go through to the next round, it would have been a lacklustre end to his incredible career.
On Monday, on the official Olympic Games website, same day tickets for the men’s and women’s singles second round, the men’s and women’s doubles second round and the mixed doubles first round were made available.
The tickets were selling for just €24 and were the second cheapest on the website.
Rugby and football fans could get tickets for just €15.
Tickets for the women’s Japan vs Nigeria group stage game at the Stade de France on Aug 31 and the Australia vs USA were both selling at just €15.
Basketball games on Aug 31 were also going cheap with tickets for two games – Japan vs Germany and Australia vs Canada – were selling for €24.
Men’s quarter final tickets on Aug 2 at the Lyon Stadium were also available for €15, with seats available at that price if you purchased more than four at once.
Handball tickets at the Arena Sud were selling for €50 and you could see the women’s golf at Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines for €24.
The organisers of the Games have been contacted for comment.
