Old videos featuring popular YouTube host MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) have resurfaced, sparking accusations of racist and sexually inappropriate remarks by social media followers.
In one, MrBeast responds to fan comments about slavery and repeats racial slurs. The other is from a podcast which feature sexual talk about rapper Bhad Bhabie, then 14-year-old Danielle Bregoli, best known at the time for her Dr. Phil appearance and her catchphrase, “cash me outside.”
The MrBeast videos have been posted as his organization struggles with news that former YouTube co-host Ava Kris Taylor engaged in inappropriate communications with a 13-year-old when she was 20. Taylor has since left the MrBeast organization and Donaldson has condemned her actions.
Taylor’s targeted victim has also complained, after initially defending her.
MrBeast has more than 300 million subscribers on YouTube and an estimated net worth of $700million.
In one of the videos of Donaldson that’s drawing comment, he appears to read out loud a fan comment that repeatedly uses the n-word. He tells the audience, “No more, no, boys – no more typing the n-word in chat. No more cursing.”
But after that plea for appropriate remarks, he reads another user comment that again uses the slur.
The Bhad Bhabie video includes banter about having sex with her.
