Love triangles have been running rampant in the Bravo universe over the last year. Tom Sandoval‘s scandalous affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss that ended his longtime relationship with Ariana Madix was soon followed by the friendship-ending feud between Southern Charm‘s Olivia Flowers and Taylor Ann Green after the latter lied about kissing Austen Kroll. Now, The Real Housewives of Orange County is serving drama between Shannon Beador and Alexis Bellino — who returned to the series dating Beador’s ex-boyfriend John Janssen.
The two women hashed out their differences in the Season 18 premiere, with Beador accusing Bellino of having a part in her ex-husband’s defamation lawsuit against her and Tamra Judge. Things naturally took an uncomfortable turn when Bellino rubbed her new relationship in Beador’s face by bragging about her promise ring and active sex life over lunch, despite claiming she wanted to move forward with the veteran reality star.
In the most recent episode, titled “Red Flags and Flag Football,” Beador finds out that Janssen had started taking Bellino to the same personal trainer at the same gym she introduced him to when they were dating. But when the trainer rebutted Bellino’s claim that she’s a “good Christian girl” by pointing out that she openly talks about her “sex life,” good ol’ Johnny J allegedly went off and blamed Beador for being behind the gossip.
“It’s very Single White Female,” Emily Simpson tells Beador, referring to the 1992 thriller in which an obsessive woman tries to take over her roommate’s life.
Not only do Beador and Bellino have Janssen and their gym in common, but they also happen to have the same dog — which raises some of their other castmates’ eyebrows.
Even Judge — who’s on the outs with Beador — jokes, “The bitch stole her dog,” while Jennifer Pedranti adds, “Alexis, you couldn’t have left Shannon with something? Archie’s all she’s got.”
Beador, for her part, calls out Janssen for using all his same old tricks on Bellino.
“Is Alexis trying to live the life I had?” Beador asks. “She’s with my ex-boyfriend, she’s getting love-bombed like I did, they’re going to the same restaurants, they’re riding on the boat, they go to the same gym, he took her to the same hotel for her birthday that he took me for mine.”
She adds, “Alexis, good luck trying to be me.”
While Bellino wants Beador to “redeem” Janssen’s name, it’s not looking like that’s going to happen any time soon.
