The trail shows a variety of high-stakes romantic situations in the show that sees people meet without being able to see each other, and deciding whether to get married there and then, before camera crews follow the new couples for the next few weeks in the lead up to see whether they tie the knot.
The UK version will be hosted by Matt and Emma Willis.
“Calm down I’m not gonna embalm you,” one potential suitor can be seen saying. Another urges: “If there’s a deep connection, then just tell me.”
The refrains will be very familiar to fans of Love is Blind U.S., which has been one of Netflix’s most successful reality series, airing for six seasons and more than 80 episodes, although not without controversy.
The UK series is produced by Married at First Sight UK maker CPL Productions. It is is executive produced by Nazleen Karim, Dermot Caulfield, Murray Boland and Nick Walker.
There are also versions in Brazil, Japan, and Sweden.
