Caroline Stanbury and Taleen Marie have gotten super close in recent episodes of The Real Housewives of Dubai — but, according to their co-star Caroline Brooks, their friendship is not sustainable.
Brooks introduced Marie to the group at the beginning of Season 2. However, drama quickly ensued when Brooks went to bat for Marie after Stanbury made a joke about seeing the rookie reality star’s vagina when she drunkenly fell over at an event. While the two women put their differences behind them, Brooks wasn’t as quick to let it go — prompting her ultimate fallout with both Stanbury and Marie.
We recently sat down with Brooks when she visited DECIDER’s studio — and she revealed some piping hot tea about an off-camera conversation she allegedly had with Stanbury.
“I fell out with Stanbury because of Taleen,” Brooks said. “Caroline Stanbury did not want her on the show. Nina Ali and Sara Al Madani and me and Caroline Stanbury all know that’s the truth. We have a group chat together. Stanbury did not want her on The Real Housewives of Dubai.”
Brooks insisted that Stanbury only befriended Marie to “piss [her] off” because she was allegedly unhappy that Brooks chose the “new girl” over her.
“Stanbury was mad at me for going hard, sticking up for Taleen, then became friends with Taleen just to spite me — not because she actually gives a hoot about that girl,” Brooks said.
Brooks, for her part, doesn’t think Stanbury and Marie’s friendship will last.
“Taleen’s personality is not going to jive well with Stanbury in the long term,” she said. “I know this, she’s too much for her, you know what I mean? And she’s trying to be the center of attention. Caroline wants to be the center of attention.”
Brooks added, “How is that going to go well? It’s not. That’s why I said, ‘Let Taleen burn,’ in the last episode. She’ll burn. If me and Stanbury make up, Taleen and Stanbury’s friendship is done.”
