Do you think Kaia Gerber is trying to tell us something with her slogan t-shirt here? Just kidding, she’s definitely telling us something. On July 17, Gerber was seen outside the Hayes Theater in New York City (along with her boyfriend Austin Butler), wearing a t-shirt reading, “Come to my house. I have great books.”
The model and actor paired the navy blue tee with low-rise blue trousers in a matching shade of blue, and a pair of block kitten heels in black. She didn’t carry a purse or accessories with her, but she did flash the playbill for the show she was seeing, Job, which she is reading for her new online bookclub called Library Science. After seeing the play, she hosted an on-stage talk with the playwright, Max Friedlich.
Slogan tees are definitely on the rise again, but the messages celebs have been choosing to make with their tops are far from random. Zendaya wore the “I Told Ya” t-shirt featured in Challengers while promoting the film. Hailey Bieber, daughter of Stephen Baldwin, wore a t-shirt reading “Nepo Baby” at the height of the nepo baby discourse. And Sydney Sweeney’s sweatshirt printed with the phrase, “Sorry for having great tits,” was seemingly a cheeky response to the constant online discussion of her chest.
Kaia Gerber’s slogan tee would appear to be a way of promoting her book club. Cute.
