JoJo Siwa wasn’t kidding when she warned fans her new content was “not made for children.”
The former Dance Moms star showed off her new “bad girl” persona when she cursed out a fan at Trixie Mattel’s Pride Disco event in New York City.
In a video uploaded by a fan, Siwa, 21, could be seen pausing her show to suss out who had booed her. “Who the living f**k just booed me?” she screamed into the microphone, before continuing, “Where the f**k did that come from? Which one of you?”
While JoJo Siwa scanned the crowd looking for the culprit, some fans could be heard in the background shouting, “Beat ’em up!” and “Fight! Fight! Fight!” She grabbed a fan’s poster from the crowd, and held it up while shouting, “Respectfully, f**k you!” before flipping off the crowd – a move a number of her backup dancers then copied.
There were plenty of fans showing the singer love, too, and after the confrontation, one threw a bouquet of roses onto the stage. Siwa called the gesture “sweet,” pulled out a rose, and shoved it into the top of her glittery booty shorts. In what appeared to be her final say on the matter, Siwa screamed “F**k the booers – somebody just chucked a bra at me!” The audience got a kick out of that, and soon erupted into chants of “JoJo! JoJo!”
Siwa’s set for the pride celebration included performances of her new single, “Karma,” as well as a yet-unreleased track called, “Guilty Pleasure.” For that performance, she was joined onstage by dancers wearing teddy bear costumes that resembled the star’s most recent tattoo.
Costello Tattoo Studio in Los Angeles, California, shared a picture on Instagram of JoJo showing off her new ink, a winged teddy bear, which they teased is “her new album cover brought to life in ink.” The performer’s debut EP, featuring songs “Guilty Pleasure,” “Balance Baby,” “Yesterdays Tomorrows Today,” “Choose UR fighter,” and “Karma” is set to drop on July 12, 2024.
