A homeless woman sleeping outside the Staten Island ferry terminal was awakened by a creep sexually assaulting her in a real-life nightmare on Wednesday morning, police said.
The 35-year-old victim was sleeping on the ground near a restaurant in the St. George terminal when the stranger approached her and began sexually abusing her at around 4:20 a.m., according to police.
The woman, who is known to frequently bunk in the area, was not physically injured during the assault.
The male suspect fled on foot and there have been no arrests.
He is approximately 5-foot-7 with a medium build and light complexion, according to the NYPD.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering, blue jeans and red and black sneakers.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the assault or suspect to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
