EXCLUSIVE: Devin Craig (Queen Sugar), Ruby Cruz (Bottoms), Michael Provost (Insatiable) and Roby Attal (Red 11) are heading to class in the upcoming third season of Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble‘s The Sex Lives of College Girls. All four will recur as students at Essex College.
Created by Kaling and Noble, Max‘s The Sex Lives of College Girls follows four college roommates in their first year at New England’s prestigious Essex College. Season 2 picked up with the students returning after their fall break, tackling the challenges that were thrown their way at the end of Season 1, while also facing their next semester filled with new faces, parties and predicaments.
Returning series regulars for Season 3 are Pauline Chalamet, lyah Chanelle Scott, Amrit Kaur, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Paulino and Renika Williams. As we previously reported, Reneé Rapp has exited the series as a regular for the upcoming season. She’ll appear in a handful of episodes, we understand, and will depart after those episodes. Craig, Cruz, Provost and Attal join a recurring cast for Season 3 that includes Rebecca Wisocky, Nabeel Muscatwalla and Michael Hsu Rosen.
The series is executive produced by Kaling, Noble, who serves as showrunner, and Howard Klein. Kaling International and 3 Arts Entertainment produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Cruz was most recently seen as one of the young stars in Orion’s critical darling Bottoms opposite Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri. On the television side, Cruz co-starred in Disney+ series Willow as Princess Kit. She’ll next be seen in indie feature The Threesome, opposite Jonah Hauer King and Zoey Deutch. She’s repped by Landsburg Management and Independent Artists Group.
Provost was a series regular on Insatiable, which ran for two seasons on Netflix. He can most recently be seen in Alexander Payne’s Oscar-winning film The Holdovers and just wrapped Kevin Costner’s upcoming Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2. His other film credits include can also be seen in Netflix’s Fear Street Part Two: 1978 and Plan B for Hulu. He can also be seen in the Netflix feature film #RealityHigh and the comedy Most Guys Are Losers. He’s repped by LINK Entertainment, Gersh and Myman Greenspan.
Attal starred as the title character in Robert Rodriguez’s independent feature Red11. He can most recently be seen in Partner Track for Netflix an next be seen in the Apple TV+ limited series Lady in the Lake opposite Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram which premieres next month. His other credits include Haunting of Bly Manor for Netflix, CBS Films’ Hellfest and Netflix series Messiah. He also appeared in the Nat Geo miniseries The Long Road Home and was the lead in the short film Bodies of Water opposite Ellar Coltrane. He’s repped by 3 Arts and Gersh.
Craig graduated from USC last month with an MFA in Acting. His previous television work includes a recurring role on the final season of Queen Sugar and a supporting role in indie film Blood On Her Badge. Craig is repped by Innovative Artists, 23 Management and attorneys Rick Genow and Al-Jerometta Chede-Aghedo at Goodman Genow Schenkman Smelkinson and Christopher.
