Kate Middleton has made another public statement, this time from behind the camera, releasing a photograph of her family for this year’s Father’s Day in the UK.
The photograph taken by Kate shows the backs of her husband Prince William and their children Charlotte, Louis and George on a beach, presumably near their country home in Norfolk, a couple of hundred miles from London.
The caption with the photograph reads:
“We love you, Papa. Happy Father’s Day. G, C & L.
“Photograph: The Princess of Wales, 2024”
The photograph comes a day after Kate made her return to public life with a much-welcomed appearance at the King’s official birthday pageant Trooping the Colour in central London.
This was the Princess of Wales’s first public appearance this year, four months after she released a video revealing that she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment after previous surgery had revealed cancerous tissue. The nature of her cancer has not been disclosed.
On Friday she released a statement thanking all her supporters for their good wishes and saying that, like many other chemotherapy patients, she was experiencing “good days and bad days” but looking forward to resuming some public engagements gradually over the summer.
