Lori Beth Denberg, the former Nickelodeon and All That star is making claims against Dan Schneider.
In a new interview, the former child actor says Schneider showed her porn, initiated phone sex, and more when she was a teenager.
Denberg told Business Insider that on her 19th birthday in 1995, Schneider showed her pornographic clips on his computer, saying, “I feel like that is the first time he preyed on me.”
The comedic actress starred in the sketch show between 1994 and 1998. Denberg also alleges that they would give each other massages when she was over at his place. One night, when she was 20 or 21, she said that he fondled her and put his mouth on her breasts.
Denberg also told the publication that she voiced her concerns to then-president of Nickelodeon Albie Hecht and All That co-creator Brian Robbins over Schneider’s treatment of Amanda Bynes. The actress claims that she was barred from the set of The Amanda Bynes Show.
“I felt like I tried to help her — to help Amanda, and couldn’t,” Denberg said.
In a statement to Deadline, Dan Schneider cals Denberg’s claims “wildly exaggerated and, in most cases, false.”
“The fact that an Executive Producer of Quiet on Set would pursue allegations regarding what may have happened between adults nearly thirty years ago — only a week after I filed a defamation lawsuit accusing Quiet on Set of being intentionally false and misleading — seems more than coincidental,” reads the statement.
Schneider admits to having “made mistakes and exhibited poor judgment as a leader” at the early stages of his career, adding, “If I did that with respect to Lori Beth, I sincerely apologize to her. But I cannot apologize for things I did not do.”
