Manifest star Melissa Roxburgh is returning to NBC as a lead of the network’s new drama series The Hunting Party.
Created by JJ Bailey who wrote the pilot episode, The Hunting Party is a high-concept crime procedural about a small team of investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers our country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist.
Roxburgh will play Rebecca “Bex” Henderson. Shrewd, steadfast and obsessively curious, Bex is an ex-FBI agent recruited to an elite government task force due to her reputation as a savvy profiler who’s caught some of the world’s most dangerous serial killers.
The Hunting Party, which received a straight-to-series order, is executive produced by Bailey and Jake Coburn who are writing and co-showrunning together. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
Roxburgh is best known for playing the lead of the popular drama series Manifest, which ran on NBC for three seasons before being canceled and rescued by Netflix with an order for a two-part fourth and final season. She is guest starring on CBS’ hit new drama series Tracker as Colter’s (Justin Hartley) sister. Roxburgh, who co-starred in the 2022 feature Mindcage opposite John Malkovich and Martin Lawrence, is repped by Gersh, Atlas Artists and Nuance Talent Management.
