As the royal family faces a slate of health crises in 2024, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been representing the Windsors at balls and parades across the UK. According to a new cover story in Hello!, the sisters are doing well despite the renewed attention to their father Prince Andrew on the heels of the new Netflix movie Scoop. A friend of Beatrice describes the princess’s current life with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and the way she has approached being a mother, adding that she is enjoying this stage in her life.
“She has a lovely family life, she’s extremely successful in her career and she has a nice social life. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so happy,” said Gabriela Peacock, a celebrity nutritionist and godmother to Beatrice’s daughter, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi. “She’s got the best husband and she and Edo are a perfect couple and great team. They are so happy and in love and complement each other so well.”
Sienna hasn’t made many public appearances, but Peacock added that the two-year-old takes after her mother. “Sienna is absolutely gorgeous and looks exactly like Bea,” she said. “She’s really cheeky and has a very good personality.”
Edoardo and Beatrice are also parents to Christopher “Wolfie” Mapelli Mozzi, Edoardo’s seven-year-old child from a previous relationship. “Bea has such a good heart and she’s such a kind person, so motherhood came very naturally to her; she’s a fantastic mum,” Peacock said. “She’s had Wolfie in her life since she and Edo met and has always been incredible with him. She is extremely nurturing and involved with both kids’ lives. It’s lovely to see my best friend growing into this next stage of her life and to share it with her.”
In her comments to Hello!, Peacock said that she and Beatrice will both be spending time with their families in the Cotswolds this summer. Eduardo’s mother, Nikki Williams-Ellis, designed and built a home in the English region about a decade ago, and she now shares it with her husband David Williams-Ellis, a renowned sculptor. In January 2023, the Williams-Ellises gave a tour of their home to British magazine Homes & Antiques, who noted that the couple recently added two extra bedrooms to the home to accommodate visits from their grandchildren.
